Wildcards allow searches with special parameters. By default, MapSifter always searches for matches that start with the entered search text. Wildcards allow different behaviors. MapSifter supports two wildcard characters:
percent sign % replaces one or more characters
underscore _ replaces a single character

Q - I use MapSifter in several different counties, but the behaviors and features are different. Why is that?

Q - MapSifter requires Silverlight to be loaded. What is Silverlight? ?
A - Microsoft Silverlight is a web application framework that integrates multimedia, computer graphics, animation and interactivity. Features of Silverlight are similar to those in Adobe Flash. It is compatible with multiple web browsers used on Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X operating systems.
